Minecraft Enderdragon Costume

My youngest came home from school last week and said I needed to make him an Enderdragon costume for some school show.  I talked him down to an Enderdragon head with a black t-shirt, and challenge accepted!  I decided to build it all around an old bike helmet so he would have control of movement, instead of just a box sitting on his shoulders.  My cardboard creation is documented below.

This weekend I spent a good chunk of time in the garage cutting up cardboard.  Turns out my youngest had signed me up to create a camel costume and some throne set pieces for his school Christmas concert.  I lost a lot of good cardboard this weekend out of the stockpile, but he should be squared away for his concert.

I also finally got to try out the platform/box I made to bring my tablesaw up to the same height as my (absurdly tall) workbench.  Next thing to make is a sled…

Newest monster is a pouty princess hiding in the back.  You see, her dad was supposed to pick her up a princess bucket to match her dress, and totally got the wrong color…  What a jerk, now she doesn’t even want any stupid candy.

Third monster is a little girl ghost.  I rocked a lot of homemade costumes as a kind, and I’m pretty sure I have a pink-dotted-sheet ghost costume memory that’s repressed and trying to surface.

I’ve been seeing all the awesome inktober art that people have been posting lately and wanted to do something themed this month.  So I decided to start a gaggle of little monsters out for candy.  I’ll just keep adding characters as the month goes on.
