Newest monster is a pouty princess hiding in the back. You see, her dad was supposed to pick her up a princess bucket to match her dress, and totally got the wrong color… What a jerk, now she doesn’t even want any stupid candy.

I knew eventually I’d be adding some superheroes and movie characters, so I thought ol’ Weapon-X would be the best one to start with. ‘Cause he’s got cool claws!
I few years back I made a little print of several important dates for our family, which we have hanging in our living room. Some friends of our liked it and asked if I could do something for them. Always one to try new things, I ended up making a vinyl mask and then etching their dates into one of the glass panes in a floating frame. It came out really nice, but worried that it would only look nice in front of dark objects, i also did a wash of white paint which makes it pop and gives it a more rustic feel. I think they will be happy with the way it came out.
Most days as I doodle one of the boys is on the other computer in the office watching Minecraft videos, so I chose to add a Steve costume today. It might actually be fun to make one for real…?
Thought it was time to throw a scarecrow into the mix, but this kid’s probably too old to enjoy candy snatching. He doesn’t even have a bag…
Latest monster, a sharply dressed vampire in a tuxedo tshirt…
Third monster is a little girl ghost. I rocked a lot of homemade costumes as a kind, and I’m pretty sure I have a pink-dotted-sheet ghost costume memory that’s repressed and trying to surface.
Second monster, a pirate! Our boys have had a lot of these super thin costumes and they always get really cold.
I’ve been seeing all the awesome inktober art that people have been posting lately and wanted to do something themed this month. So I decided to start a gaggle of little monsters out for candy. I’ll just keep adding characters as the month goes on.
