Another day, another cat doodle. This will not become a habit…
Found a cute blog today my youngest will love: daily cat drawings. So I thought I’d depict how our cat likes to roll around on the floor like she wants to be petted, but then stay just out of reach so you can’t actually get to her. Cats…
One of my good friend’s Dave gave me a really cool graphic novel “Herobear and The Kid”. It was drawn in a rough animation/storyboard style and was a great read for all ages. Had to doodle the big guy, but I only had my phone to take a picture.
Our oldest nephew graduated from highschool this summer and we forgot his card at our house before the road trip home to celebrate with him. This was an idea my wife had that I doodled out real quick for him.
Yesterday’s sketch_dailies topic of mashups was “Wonder Wombat”, so I thought I’d spend my time at the scout meeting tonight doodling another member of the Marsupial Justice League; Wombatman.
If today were “Draw a lanky robot from an extreme perspective day“, this would be a aptly conceived doodle. Alas, that day has not yet been signed into law, but I drew this guy anyway during church. I got to do the sound board for the first service and both sound and projection for the second, so I got twice as much time to doodle.
After some sanding and painting, the wood scrap outline piece is all done. I’ve got another one, but it’s a present so I can’t share that one yet.
A few months ago I ran into the amazing work of Dolan Geimer on etsy or somewhere, and wanted to create something smaller but in that vein for my wife. With the help of my good friend Kevin, I’ve been amassing a collection of wooden scraps to make this possible. I just need to sand off some wood putty and finish painting the outside.
This was way easier now that I have a miter saw. I’m going to have to start keeping track of how many I’ve got out in the garage (9). I’m not counting my rotary tool and my router.
