I haven’t posted in a while, so I thought I’d put up this picture I had drawn of a cracked out gamer. Take a break man!
I’m hoping to get some crafty stuff done this weekend, but Easter is the priority so we shall see.

I finally finished my mountain design for my custom papersigns. This was the first one I cut out with my silhouette cameo, instead of by hand. It greatly speeds things up, but I wasted quite a few pieces of cardstock and printer toner, getting all the different parts of the process working. Will be working on a San Francisco styled one next. For sale in my etsy.com store.
All the design work was done in inkscape, with the texturing for printing done in The GIMP.
This was a tree i thought up after a co-worker asked for something similar. It’s alternating layers of black and tan cardstock, with three main designs composing the whole tree. Very time consuming to glue it all together, but I like how it came out.
Original design drawn in mypaint, converted to vector graphics in inkscape, and cut with a silhouette cameo.
This is the latest background I’ve been working on for my custom named paper signs. I already have a farm and city one, and they will all eventually land in my etsy store. This weekend was super crafty since I got this mostly done, and also knocked out two other things.
This was a vinyl wall decal I made for a friends little guy who is all about elevators. I figured he could put it on the wall inside his door and have a blast. Will probably be selling these in my etsy store.
UPDATE: I’m selling these on my etsy store here!
This was playing around with some etching paste on a 3″x6″ glass tile. I really liked how it came out, just not sure what I would do with it.
I’ve built quite a few catapults and ballistas with LEGO before, but this is the first trebuchet. I think it came out nicely. The boys and I will have lots of fun playing with it this weekend.
This shows how many heavy steel balls I had to use for weight (16) to throw a single marble. It seemed the ideal combo. Lighter shot got flung almost directly into the floor, and heavier shot (like another steal ball) ended up travelling nearly vertical. Old LEGO technic tire rims fired nicely too.
Since I’m posting LEGO stuff, here’s an awesome castle my oldest built and the ensuing battle for it’s control.
I took the boys to see “Ecape from Planet Earth” today which we all enjoyed. I think it was well put together, lots of funny campy references, and a few surprises here and there. We’ll definitely be acquiring this one when it comes out. Thought I’d do a really rough doodle of Brandon Fraser’s character Scorch Supernova.
