This had initially started out as an experiment in not using any lines (sort of), but I kept coming back to it and not being able to figure out where it was going. Eventually I settled here and decided that was good enough. I’m still not very happy with it, but not every work will be perfect.
This is a little doodle I started working on, trying not to use any traditional lines. Still has some work to go.
Doodled in Krita on my Surface Pro 3.
Tonight my youngest and I watched the new Pete’s Dragon on Netflix. I thought it was a really good reimagining of the story, and I decided to doodle up the big guy.
Done on my Surface Pro 3 in Krita.

Brian has been doing an amazing series of Bill Watterson themed drawings of Kylo Ren and Darth Vader that are worth checking out!

This a an idea I’m working on for a friend of my wife’s. Her little daughter is a big fan of How to Train Your Dragon and quite the firecracker. She wanted a decal to go on her bedroom door.
Here’s what I eventually rendered in mypaint and inkscape. Will be cutting out in vinyl.
I spent quite a few miles and hours on planes over the last two days for a speaking engagement, so I doodled to pass the time. An Assemblage of Avengers, a loose brush pen dragon, and a pondering robot.
I drew this to support a little friendly competition between two organizations.
