I bought this great Stig Marcussen print a few years ago in Biloxi but never got around to framing it. I was cranking out some end of year projects so I made sure this was one of them. The frame matches the two I have for my Mondo posters.

Today’s bulletin doodle was the young Nova from Marvel comics. I decided to try rough coloring it real quick on my Surface, but the picture I took to start with wasn’t the best.
This was actually my bulletin doodle from two weeks ago, but I’ve been crazy busy of late.
For this Sunday’s bulletin sketch, I depicted our little cat as Han Solo. I’ll need to do another with our decidedly grumpier old girl as the Emperor.
I added some color in the computer.
A while back I drew a logo for our quaint little clapboard church. So, they of course decided to build a new worship center and they’ve been asking for a similar logo. This is what I finally came up with.
A few weeks back, we were got a pretty crazy amount of rain on a Saturday evening. My trek to church in the morning wasn’t quite this adventurous, but it was close.
Our little church is finishing a newly constructed worship center, so we’ve been planning out the new projection system for the building. This was the map I made to minimize the number of components we’d purchase, while giving us the needed flexibility and ensuring compatibility. We’ve been able to save the church quite a bit here and there by making smart design choices upfront, instead of paying for stuff we will never use.
I’ve been thinking about getting some shirts made for our little team that makes the Sunday services happen at church. After many versions and little changes, this is what I finally decided on.

Our local church is one of those iconic old white clapboard buildings, so I thought I’d make them a logo they can use on stuff if they wanted to. It was just an idea that popped in my head and I’ve been working occasionally on it the last few days.
My church bulletin doodle from this week. My streak of bringing my sketchbook seems to have ended.
