I thought I’d post one final collection of all the kittens and my workflow. Almost all started out as mypaint sketches, then I recreated them as vectors in inkscape. Now I can archive them off to obscurity. I wonder if the decals would sell on etsy?

I finally got all the kitten vectors finished and cut out in time to not do anything kitten related this weekend. Meow!
Here’s a little thing I whipped up this weekend. I have a desk at work that I raised to its highest setting, but is still a little short for a standing desk. This baby should raise my keyboard and mouse just enough to get it to the correct height. I made it with recycled MDF.
Some more kitten vector work. I have a bunch more to do, plus lots of paw prints and stuff…
I had a few projects that I was able to work on this weekend. The first was cleaning up a few of the kitten sketches into vinyl worthy vectorness. The other, an odd request for a poncho adorned man crushing a CPR mannequin. Who knows why?
I was asked to make some cute vinyl decals to decorate the kitten ward of a local animal shelter . These are the initial sketches I sent them for review, which they seemed happy with. Time to clean them up and figuring out sizing.
We’ve been going through a series at church on the fruit of the spirit, and this idea kept popping in my mind. I like it, it’s almost schoolhouse rockish…
Our youngest son’s scout den was making clocks for a project this weekend. Unfortunately, we got there a little too late after baseball practice to work on his at the scout hut. But this meant we could make it at home, so we had more options than paint and stickers. He bounced around with a bunch of ideas but finally decided he wanted to make a clock in the image of our cat. We chased her down, took a couple of mug shots, drew a likeness in inkscape and voila, cat clock.
