We went to see “Ralph Breaks the Internet” on Friday and loved it! I need to rewatch it a few thousands times to find all the cool things hidden in the games and the Internet scenes.

Inktober day 20
The last Ducktales character is Lil Bulb. In the original series, I remember him being a cute little guy helping Gyro around the lab. In the reboot, since all of Gyro’s inventions seem to become evil, this little guy shows some much more entertaining behavior.
I’m not very happy with how this doodle came out, and all efforts to try improving the glow aspect of the lightbulb seemed to make it worse.
Inktober day 19
For today, I wanted to draw Gizmoduck, one of my favorite heroic characters growing up. He certainly looks much more powerful in this reboot than the old style.
Inktober day 18
The next show I wanted to draw a few characters from is the reboot of Ducktales on Disney. First up is Fenton Crackshell, the goofy accountant who just wants to do a good job. Here he seems like he needs to run off unexpectedly for some important business.
I finally got around to framing the two posters I bought at the Mondo Disney show a few months back. Michaels had a deal this weekend that I couldn’t pass up. The 20,000 Leagues poster by Martin Ansin is an odd size (12″ x 36″) and I was planning to just make custom frames for both. Instead, I bought two of the 24″ x 36″ frames, surgically separated one of the sides, cut the top and bottom down (and the backing board), and put it all seamlessly back together. I had already purchased two pieces of glass that switched out with the plastic the frames came with. The Rocketeer poster is by Cesar Moreno.
That show had a ton of amazing posters, but these two were my favorites and I had to get them. They look pretty sweet on the wall.
Today, Disney finally premiered their relaunch of Ducktales on their XD channel. It looks to be an interesting and fun take on the old adventures, with lots of easter eggs and connections to the old show. I thought I’d doodle up ol’ Unka Scoog (as Bubba would say) in the style of the new show.
Tonight my youngest and I watched the new Pete’s Dragon on Netflix. I thought it was a really good reimagining of the story, and I decided to doodle up the big guy.
Done on my Surface Pro 3 in Krita.
My mother-in-law’s spirit animal is Eeyore. She found a picture like this with the text in standard Meme writing that she wanted for her desk, but I thought I’d try to do something a little nicer. So I had to paint Eeyore out of the background, isolate him separately, and then cut and assemble. Hopefully she will like it.
This is another little art card I sent out to a friend. My picture was horribly fuzzy but that’s all I got, unless they send me a better one.
